Eighty Eight O’Connell

Tandem Building was engaged as the Managing Contractor for Eighty Eight O’Connell, a $300 million development by Commercial & General. This landmark project with a 7,500m² footprint sits in the heart of North Adelaide, positioned near restaurants, cafes, parklands and shops. The former Le Cornu site had remained vacant for 36 years and has now been transformed into luxurious living, with retail and commercial tenancies incorporated on the lower floors with fitouts also completed by Tandem.

The three buildings feature 158 luxurious apartments that range from one to three bedrooms, and a selection of exquisite penthouses.

Built to transform one of the city’s most iconic streets, this landmark development brings a carefully curated selection of retail brands to O’Connell Street.

A three-level podium comprising of retail and commercial tenancies interconnects the three buildings, situated on the ground floor above a three-level basement car park.

A destination for placemaking, this location blends lifestyle, health, wellbeing and food offerings. At the heart of this vision is Mercato’s street-level experiential food market that features a premium delicatessen, experiential wine bar, fine food market and café.

The SkyPark extends across the top of the podium, looking out to the picturesque North Adelaide skyward, featuring soft landscaping, trees, grass and a range of casual seating options for community enjoyment. Enriching this innovative public space is ‘Yakisan’ – a rooftop restaurant and bar.
