What a great team at Tandem. We worked with them on a number of projects at VCA and the staff were very responsive and helpful at achieving each project outcome. I am especially happy with the outcomes at the Print Workshop that required completing a difficult build during the Summer vacation period.

The University of Melbourne awarded Tandem the two staged project of the VCA Print Workshop at their Southbank campus. The project deliverables centred around the school calendar and the direct requirements of the end user group. While being architecturally appealing, the practicality of the space required our project team to develop an indepth understanding of the machinery and printing process used within the space. The project scope involved the fit out of an existing warehouse, which set the foundation for the new print workshop, intricate mechanical extraction and compressed air systems, as well as creative architectural elements for accoustic and temperature control. Stage two of this project included the new build of a storage facility, where the design comprised of various angles of roof lining and cladding, making pre-planning and coordination of the structure paramount to ensuring the design intent was delivered. Through diligent management of our subcontractors and key stakeholders, Tandem successfully brought the vision to life for the designer and end user group.
