Tandem Building Group was engaged by Sugar Australia to undertake the D&C of Sugar Australia’s new White Packing Station (WPS), as well as facilitate the relocation of their production plant from Croydon to Yarraville. A detailed investigation of the existing 100 year old property, located on the banks of the Maribyrnong River, was key to pin pointing locations of existing buildings, reviewing vast amounts of plant and services infrastructure and understanding the water table levels. The front end of the project was supported through research and planning to assess these unique site variables. A strong collaborative working style underpinned the roll out and final delivery stage. The Tandem team coordinated the new equipment installation within and adjacent to the existing plant. Importantly, this critical stage for the new WPS was carried out while the existing facility continued its daily sugar production. This project embodied Tandem’s strong commitment to planning and successful client collaboration.
