YWCA Apartments located at 17-19 Hutt Street is an 8-level mixed-use building and flagship project for not-for profit organisation, YWCA. Located on a tight 337m2 lot, bounded by 2 roads and significant street trees, this was a complex but rewarding project handed over in early 2025. The building offers 24 apartments with a range of 1 to 3 bedroom options, a shared terrace space on level 6, and a ground floor area incorporating a 95m2 commercial tenancy with street frontage. Bike storage is provided for tenants on the ground floor in lieu of on-site vehicle parking to encourage occupants to embrace the city-living lifestyle.
YWCA is a proudly feminist not-for-profit organisation that advocates for bold, systemic change and working to ensure all women feel safe and secure in a home of their choice. Tandem were not only vested in delivering a quality product for our client but were also overjoyed to see this organisation take possession of a facility that will benefit vulnerable local women.
