Tandem Building Group was proudly appointed as the selected builder for the Southern Cross Grammar Senior School, at Caroline Springs. The works commenced prior to the commencement of the 2018 school year and included the town planning, documentation and construction of a two storey building of approximately 1,300m2. The project was delivered over 12 months and required diligent planning. The excavation works posed significant difficulty due to the soil conditions, however the use of high strength ductile steel piles minimised soil displacement and was fundamental to an accelerated programme. The use of post tension construction also enabled early access to the ground area, while the roof works were being undertaken. The team at Tandem has been credited with a transparent delivery model, which underpinned each project phase. Working collectively with all parties has seen a great result on the ground.
